My husband's reaction was (and is still) silence. He neither denies nor takes the blame for anything. He just won't talk. Has this happened to anybody else, and how did you deal with it? It's hard, because I just don't understand why he can appear so strong to me while saying nothing. It's driving me crazy!

My husband did that at the very first. So I started just disappearing on my own for hours at a time. When I got home (late) he wouldn't ask me where I'd been, waiting for me to volunteer the information. I didn't.

Finally, he couldn't stand it and started asking me questions about where I'd been and what I'd been doing. That opened up a whole avenue of talking, lol.

It may seem like a dirty trick, but I was at my wits' end. I had to do something to get his attention and start some kind of dialogue. We still separated, but at least we knew where we stood with each other.

I think thats a good move. Silence really can help. But its for shot time. Better he must discuss with her wife and have a good talk. If not, maybe something bad will happen like word war 4!
