Just with baby steps, maybe, the most simple of things, I'm going to to try to do just ONE little thing for myself today and eveyday that makes me feel good. I treated myself the otherday to an $8.00 candle... "Vanilla Dream Cake"... I just love filling my space with such a lovely sweet scent. I hardly ever spend sush friviolous money like that on myself, but it felt good. Today I need "that shower" I think I might take an extra few minutes in there and lotion up afterward. I know it's silly, most people do these things without thinking, but others who give and give forget to give to themselves, and like myself I have forgotten all the little things I can give to myself.

Would anyother women here care to keep this thread alive?... I would love to hear more ideas.... I need to keep the focus on ME, damit!;)

You should take yourself out for ice cream or pie... or something else like that.

You can take a relaxing bath, much like "that shower".

Even spending time with your children can be one of the things that you do that will make you feel better. Especially when you see the smile on their face, that would just make my day. :)

It's so easy to get wrapped up in the misery it's hard to see the end of the road. Doing little things, I think, helps us to regain some of that self respect that we've lost along the way.

And gives us a bit of courage to do even bigger things. The first trip I took alone was very scary for me, lol. I had never flown alone before, had never driven more than 100 miles by myself before, so there were a lot of things I learned to do by myself.

And the good thing was, I found that I could do them. And do them well. It was such a revelation to find that I could make my own decisions and actually enjoy it!

For me, taking care of *me* means getting out in the yard and doing yard work, or involving myself in a game or book that I enjoy. That's all stuff that's good for me.
