Pirates!

My son and younger daughter and I went to see the latest "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie yesterday. What a lot of fun! The story isn't all that strong, but it works all the same and you don't feel like it's an almost-3 hour movie. I really enjoyed our outing.

I liked the movie. I took my niece and nephew with me on Saturday night and we had a good time. My niece and nephew did not really understand the whole plot, and I think it was a little too complicated for them, but they liked it all the same. I really like how the Pirates series has empowered the women in the movie. I was really excited to see Elizabeth as Pirate King!

Elizabeth really grew a great deal in the series, from the helpless girl she was in the first movie to her strength in the third one. I like Elizabeth.

I really like her too. At first, I thought of her as a weak, seconday character, but she truly has grown into the fore front of the movie. I'm impressed by Disney, making a woman pirate one of their heroines.
