That's certainly a big clue. There are ways to get into his accounts if you have administrator access on your system (I'm assuming you each have your own profile on one computer--but if you have two computers, it could be trickier). Talk to him about it.

first of all chatrooms are really shit place with so much of fake identities that you never know whome you are talking to. And also it really doesnt mean that if your husband is not allowing you to access the computer when he is using it that he is cheating. There is a thing called emotional cheating, and frankly- communicating with another individual in an intimate manner regardless of if it's over the phone, internet, or in person is cheating. If the "cheater" feels the need to keep an intimate secret life seperate from their spouse, It is a betrayel, and deception and compromising the marriage. That is unless the one who is looking outside of the marriage approaches their spouse and discusses alternitive possiblilites with the marriage first.

This is my personal view. I wish my husband would have come to me first and discussed with me him toying with the idea, instead of doing it behind my back. I would have felt more respected and closer to him as his wife and mother of his child. I would have appreciated him more for his honesty. I would then have us consult a marriage counslor to explore the reasons, options and alternitves to ensure a safe a secure marriage.

But, I am instead now haunted with suspicion, and the trust I once had for my husband has been violated and his vows when we married do not carry as much weight as they once did.

My .02$ is "it's cheating if you have any type of interactive intimate behavior with another person, and you keep it a secret from your spouse.

There are many reasons to suspect he may be cheating on you, changing a password that is normally a shared password is a good reason.
